Christmas Nike: balls for the playground

A gift for those who play outside

The playground player uses a ball in just a few months. Giving them a new one for Christmas means sending them back out to the concrete as soon as the holidays start, without having to guess shoe or clothing sizes.

Everyday Playground: eight panels for the tarmac

The Everyday Playground 8P is the heart of the page. Eight panels, thick rubber and marked grooves: it maintains its grip on a rough surface. The Next Nature versions incorporate recycled materials, while the Graphic versions play with patterns and colours.

All Court, Energy and Elite

Between two surfaces, the Everyday All Court moves from the gym to the outdoor court and comes in a pack of eight for a group. The Energy focuses on stylish colours. Indoors, the Elite Championship and the Elite, with a composite covering, offer a finer touch.

Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, on the ball side

For a fan, the page also brings together balls signed by two legends of the brand. The Playground Kobe Bryant features his name on an outdoor ball, and an All-Star Game edition pays tribute to him. On the LeBron James side, the All Court 2.0 transitions from indoors to outdoors, while the Playground 2.0 is meant for the tarmac. These are balls that can be played with just as much as they can be displayed in a fan's room.

Skills, the small ball for kids

The Skills is a size 3 rubber ball. Younger kids can easily catch it, while older ones use it to work on their ball handling: the smaller the ball, the more precise the control needs to be.

Don't forget the pump

Many Nike balls are shipped deflated, which is indicated by the word “Deflated” in their name. To make sure the gift is ready to use straight away, add a pump with a needle and inflate it to the pressure noted near the valve.

For the gym or for the fan, other brands

For a FIBA-approved match ball, check out the page Christmas Molten balls. The official NBA ball is available at Wilson, the TF range at Spalding, and Baden Sports completes the selection. All brands can be found on the page Christmas balls.

Before the holidays, the page Black Friday balls Nike offers discounts on part of the selection. The clearance section offers end-of-line products, and the page shipped within 24h helps when you need something quickly.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I find a cheap Nike ball for Christmas?

The Everyday Playground and the Skills are the most affordable models from the brand. You can often find them in the gift ideas under €50, along with other small basketball gifts.

Is a Nike ball a good idea for playing in a club?

For training indoors, the Elite Championship does the job well. For official matches in France, you need a ball approved by the FFBB, like those on the page Christmas Molten balls.

What Nike ball should I give to a six or seven-year-old?

A size 3 Skills for playing at home, or a size 5 Everyday Playground for going to the court. They will keep the size 5 until U11. Other sizes are detailed on the page Christmas balls.

Does a rubber ball harden in the cold?

A little, and it also loses some pressure. Store it indoors between sessions and inflate it before playing. For an indoor ball that can handle winter, check out the TF-500 from the page Christmas Spalding balls.

How can I receive a Nike ball before the holidays?

Order early and check the page delivered on time for Christmas, which includes only items in stock shipped within 24 hours. Don't forget to add the pump to the same basket.
